The Long Trail Brewing Company began its mission to brew high quality craft beer in November of 1989. It's humble beginning in the basement of the old Bridgewater Woolen Mill in the Green Mountains of Vermont, was soon outgrown. In 1995 the brewery packed up and "Hit the Trail" up the road to where they reside today.

Monhegan Island is located 10 miles off the coast of Maine in Muscongus Bay. The island is home to approximately 75 year-round residents, swelling to over 400 in the summer.
