Vendor Applications
Two application forms are published on the Franklin County Agricultural Society site (fcas.com/p/3052/Be-a-Vendor-at-the-Fair) — one specific to CRAFT vendors and one for all other vendors:
• Franklin County Fair Crafters Application 2026 (PDF)
• Franklin County Fair Vendor Form for All Vendors Except Crafters 2026 (PDF)
• Franklin County Fair Vendor Rules 2026 (PDF) — the binding rules, supplemental to the vendor contract
Accepted vendors may pay by credit card through the fair's Zeffy ticketing page.
CRAFT VENDORS (2026 fair, September 10–13): email applications are preferred — vendors@fcas.com — or mail the completed application with a check payable to FRANKLIN COUNTY AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY to 13 Cedar St, Greenfield, MA 01301. "Applications are accepted until we fill up"; space is first received, first reserved, and crafters are notified on receipt and acceptance. The $125 registration fee is NON-REFUNDABLE. FCAS provides a 10'x10' space; crafters supply their own tables and chairs. Everything sold must be handcrafted, created or decorated by the crafter — foreign or commercially made products, mass-produced items, and items bought for resale are not accepted. The application asks whether you would take outdoor space or space in a mixed-use building if the craft building fills. Returning vendors get a best attempt at their previous spot but no guarantee, and the deadline for returning-vendor placement PREFERENCE is April 1 (a preference cut-off, not an application deadline). Craft Building hours: Thu 3–9 pm, Fri 3–9 pm, Sat 10 am–9 pm, Sun 10 am–8 pm; vendors are expected present for all listed hours, with longer hours if outdoors, and leaving early or not showing up means not being invited back. Craft setup: Tuesday by appointment, Wednesday 8 am–8 pm, or Thursday 8 am–3 pm; breakdown Sunday 8 pm.
ALL VENDORS — space allocation: first come, first served, with priority consideration given to vendors from the previous fair. Spaces are assigned by exhibit type and proximity to similar booths; the Concessions Manager has sole discretion on placement. There are no exclusives on any product.
Check-in and setup: check in at the Fair Concessions Office on the east end of the Dole Building before setting up. Setup cannot begin earlier than Tuesday, September 8, 2026 (Concessions Office open by appointment that day, then from 8 am Wednesday, September 9). All booths must be in place and open to the public by 3 pm on opening day. Vehicles may service displays 7–9 am Saturday and Sunday, and until 3 pm Thursday and Friday. All property must be removed within one day of the fair's close.
INSURANCE — required of ALL vendors: general liability of $1 million per occurrence / $2 million aggregate, plus Workers' Compensation in any amount. The vendor is named insured and the fair must be listed as additional insured for the whole occupancy including setup and breakdown, as: Franklin County Agricultural Society dba Franklin County Fair, 89 Wisdom Way, P.O. Box 564, Greenfield, MA 01301.
Permits: the vendor is responsible for obtaining and paying for all federal, state, county and municipal licenses, taxes and permits. FCAS will not answer questions on fire or health inspections — use greenfield-ma.gov. Vendors without the proper City permits will not be allowed to vend and will not be refunded.
Prohibited for sale: pornographic material, smoking-related items, drug paraphernalia, offensive symbols, martial-arts materials, weapons, knives, live animals (e.g. goldfish), and anything else management deems unsuitable for a family fair. Selling unapproved merchandise is a contract infraction and can mean immediate dismissal.
Credentials: up to four event-long admittance passes including parking, plus up to ten single-day tickets; one extra vehicle pass may be purchased. No credentials are issued until full payment is received, none are mailed, and there is no name list at any gate. Lost-credential replacement is $10.
Other terms: outdoor tents may not be anchored into pavement (surface anchors only; $100 per hole for violations); the license may not be assigned, sublet or transferred; any drawing or giveaway must be registered with the Concession Office before the fair and a winner list filed before it closes.
