The Apple Barn & Bakeshop in Bennington, Vermont hosts its 4th Annual Blueberry Festival, a free community celebration of local food, family activities, live music and Vermont agriculture. The day centers on the Blueberry Bake-Off, with home bakers competing before judges drawn from regional restaurants. Guests can pick blueberries free in the Apple Barn's patch while berries last, and find live music, children's activities, local craft vendors, food trucks, outdoor games and concession-stand fare. The Bennington Beekeepers Association runs an educational honeybee exhibit and the Apple Barn's nonprofit, The Rooted Hands Project, hosts an interactive pollinator tent.
