The Acton Fair is a small country agricultural fair held each August at the Acton Fairgrounds in Acton, Maine. The 2026 edition — the 161st — runs Thursday, August 27 through Sunday, August 30, with gates open 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM Thursday through Saturday and 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Sunday. Barns fill with animals cared for by local farmers and youth exhibitors, and the exhibit halls showcase the work of Maine agricultural exhibitors. Recent additions include a petting zoo, plowing demonstrations and a growing truck pull, alongside daily shows in the Locke Family Entertainment Center and a midway run by Cushing Amusements. The fair is volunteer-run and emphasizes family, community and tradition. Admission is $10 per adult, cash at the gate. Seniors 65+ and veterans pay $5 on Thursday and Friday only, and children 12 and under are admitted free with an adult. Parking on the fairgrounds is free. Midway rides are ticketed separately by Cushing Amusements.
